So you know, the fuel line (item 17 in the above diagram) runs right down the middle of the drivers floorboard after making a left turn away from the center of the car.
When I drilled the five-point sub strap hole for my car I also punctured the fuel line. Doh!
Fixed in about an hour with a run to the parts store. Live and learn and pass on the knowledge.
