Vintage Car Wallpaper

I was at my in-laws home this past weekend and made my way up into the attic for the first time. It is this huge home in New London, CT.

And, up there, in an old boy's room I found it covered in this vintage wallpaper. I don't think it is too old. Maybe late 60's? Early 70's?

But, what an odd collection of cars to feature; Avanti, Jaguar, 32 Ford Hot Rod, some Coopers and Ferraris. Cool.

Wish I could buy the same paper now.

A Fox in the Barn

Keep your eyes peeled when you are in South Dakota. You just might find this Fox hiding out.

Thanks for the pic!

Prius as Barn Find.

One of my readers sent in the first of the 'Future Barn Find' decals. On his Prius.

I love it.

How long before we see an ad on Craigslist hard-selling a 'one-owner barn find Prius with original battery pack'?

911 in Scotland. Archive Pics.

Clearing out my images on my computer, I came across these which I thought I posted but didn't.

They are from 2007 when my wife and I went to Scotland and had the use of 1975 911 for the week as I was writing an article for 911 & Porsche World about renting Porsches.

If you read any of the UK magazines, they are always hyping the roads in Scotland. And, after being there, rightly so. Spend a night in London on your next trip to the islands, then head straight north.

Future Barn Find Decals Gone.

The stickers are in the mail. Looking forward to getting the photos back.

That is all.

Free 'Future Barn Find' Bumper Stickers if...

Pretty much about one year ago I made this post where I designed the above featured 'Future Barn Find' graphic.

I think it makes a nice sarcastic statement about the whole Barn Find thing in today's collector world. Anyone who reads BaT or Hemmings or eBay would think every car over 30 years old is a barn find. What a crock.

But, to celebrate, I am giving away 15 bumper stickers. But it comes with one condition, you have to put it on your car and take a picture of it and send it to me to post.

So, if you want to get in on these limited edition stickers, just email me at fastonhanks@gmail.com I will send it anywhere in the world, free, but just one sticker per person.

I will post one out and hold you to a gentleman's agreement that you will send me a photo.

Now, that's a fair deal.
